We didn't really plan anything special for the holiday weekend. Mark has been so busy the last year that a few precious days at home are a real treat. On Saturday he put in the gardening stuff for me. We are trying peppers and tomatoes in the back this year and have moved our herb garden out front. I am trying to keep the limited gardening we do as close the the house and water sources as possible.
Monday we decide to call a day of rest and we went and saw Pirates 4 at the theatre. I liked the movie but it was a little overly loud for my taste, even Mark thought it was loud. That afternoon we took a quick trip up to Castle Rock to the outlets. We didn't wind up with much other than some new vegetable peelers but it was nice to get out of the house for whatever reason.
I was planning on starting to scale back for school this week but I got a call from our testing lady and she can get Jordan in on the 10th so I guess we will keep everything going till then, it's just a matter of finding good places to stop. We are SO ready to be done.
Leah has put in a few applications but hasn't heard anything yet. She did sign up to volunteer at the coffee bar at church once a month. So far her summer has consisted of studdying for her re-take on the ACT and trips to the library. I think she is looking at architectual design books for appartment type spaces. I've always thought she might be a good designer, who knows.
