Check Up Time

Yes, it's that time of year again, time for mommy's annual check-up. I have a prescription that needs to be renewed yearly so there is no way I get to miss my annual visit to the doctor. It went pretty good. She says my weight and blood pressure are super (I still want to be down a few pounds). Now I get to haul myself around for all of the blood work, mamo, etc. Ah the joys of being female. I guess I shouldn't complain I am relatively healthy. I did talk to the doctor about my migraines and she is going to have me try a med that is supposed to keep it from being a 3 day event. We'll see how it goes. I also got my DPT immunization today, hope I don't feel crummy with it.

I am thinking about having Jordan do the DPT. As you know for an autism parent who isn't sure how we got there, this is a very scary step. If we do it, that's the only one he gets. I would feel so much better about the immunization thing if they had a truly plausible explanation for the increase in the autism numbers (other than change in diagnostic criteria which doesn't wash given the numbers).

Leah has put in some online applications but hasn't heard anything yet. Getting that first job is so hard. A lot of it is still who you know. I think she will enjoy the remainder of her time at home more if she is busy and has some of her own spending cash. We're still waiting on the ACT results.
