Bit by bit I seem to be slowly improving with the labrynthitis and for that I am grateful! I really want to be in good shape by Friday so I will feel like celebrating our anniversary.
Bit by bit we are getting Christmas bought. Since we are buying a big family gift for Christmas there isn't a lot of shopping to do. I think we will add some stocking stuffer things just to make it a little extra fun for everyone. I did buy Jordan a coat last week (not for Christmas) because there was a good sale (40% off) on a Lands End coat that I wanted to buy him. With shipping and everything it was $80 some dollars and change. If he doesn't grow a lot on top, he should be able to wear the coat for several seasons.
We wound up buying a tv this weekend. Mark is really bugged when the electronic stuff doesn't work, he says that sides of the screen were blurry (honestly, I never noticed). We bought a flat screen, not as big as we wanted but we bought what we could afford and the new one will probably become our second tv in a couple of years when we are out of debt and able to buy the one we really wanted. With my tecno husband I'm wondering how long it will be till we "need" a newer sound system to go with it. As long as we aren't going into debt for it, I won't complain. He has had some extra work lately that will help pay for the stuff.
An observation: One less thing to disagree about. The last time we bought a tv Mark wound up taking it back because we really couldn't afford what we really wanted. It was about the time we started thinking seriously about getting out of debt. When he went to get a tv this time I told him that if you bring it home, we are keeping it, and he told me that I was not allowed to have buyers remorse. The thing is, because we really had the money in the account this time, there weren't any disagreements. I am beginning to realize how freeing this being debt free thing is going to be. If we need something new, we borrow from ourselves, no interest, no guilt! If we don't have the money, then we won't buy it.
