Recipe #5 and 6

Recipe #5 was Haricots Verts Almondine (a french green bean with almonds and lemon recipe) by Kelsey Nixon on Cooking Channel.  Here is the link: http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/recipes/kelsey-nixon/haricots-verts-almondine-recipe/index.html We absolutely loved this recipe, a definite 5 star-make it again, but think we may reduce the butter and oil.

Recipe #6  was a Shrimp with Lemon-Saffron Rice.  Here is the link for that recipe: http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/shrimp-lemon-saffron-rice-50400000118563/. Mark, Leah, and I all gave this a 3 out of 5.  It didn't taste bad but I'm in no hurry to have it again so it doesn't go into our recipe file.  We actually have a shrimp with lemon and orzo or something like that that we all adore.  If I am going to pop for shrimp, I need to love the recipe.

Now that I picked up a small amount of saffron at Penzy's (if you are not familiar with them, they are a spice store chain) we will have to find another use for it.  Saffron expensive but you don't use much of it either.  I am trying to find a good paella recipe to try.
