Leah inspired me with the title for today. She swears that her life is so boring. I guess for the most part that is because our lives are not filled in the way many families spend their summer. We don't do camp, lessons for this and that, or sports. Our summer is filled with trips to the therapist house. Where do we get the idea that all of life is supposed to be exciting when most of life is filled with the mundane? Maybe we'll go swimming tonight to have fun and get out of the house a bit.
I can't say my day has been boring. Jordan has somehow figured out how to view "questionable" sites on the internet that are somehow are not being caught by the filter. Leah flipped out and started using the term pornography (the pictures were questionable but he saw nothing more than people in their underwear). Well you can guess what Jordan's newest word is. Jordan is at a stage where being bad is funny (common w/autism) so I can't over-react or the behavior will increase, not go away, neither can I ignore the issue. Parenting him is such a tightrope. Leah wants me to treat him like a teenager but in many ways he his still a little boy.
