Tonight we are having a good old fashioned thunderstorm, it's kind of nice to hear the rain beating against the house. We are getting thunderstorms about every day now which usually means an end to our "heat wave" of 90 degree weather in July. I realize that's nothing to you all in the mid-west. We will be mostly in the 80 degree range for the rest of August.
We are starting to finalize our plans for homeschool. Leah is most anxious to get the show on the road. She seems to think her brain is turning to mush. We'll see how she feels once Mommy starts giving her deadlines. I have promised her that I will probably be the toughest teacher she has ever had on the deadlines-there will be none of these nonsense excuses. I think once we are into the routine of things we will all be fine. New things can be a little scary sometimes but as they say, "nothing ventured-nothing gained".
Jordan has been on a "horse" theme lately. He went to the Rodeo Museum here in town w/Ms. Michelle a couple of weeks ago, last week we went to the county fair (saw horses there too), and this week we went to our small group (church) and they had horses at their house too!!! Jordan got to pet this old horse. He wanted them to take off the rope and let him ride bare-back. Maybe he thinks the horses should be free to run, a "Don't fence me in" mentality that I am sure Jordan feels somewhat. It's funny but the only animals Jordan has ever related to have been really old/deaf/blind ect.
Maybe it will rain into the evening and I can get some good sound sleep, wouldn't that be nice?
