Last week was such a long week. We all have been fighting the allergy/cold thing. About Wednesday I barely had a voice at all. Luckily we all are on the mend and are better rested now. We are praying that this week will be a healthier one!
I went out and did the grocery shopping this weekend (oh joy) and got that all out of the way. We find that we spend less money on groceries when plan out our meals for the pay period. One "extra" we bought was basil plants, potting soil, and a couple of pots. We usually plant some basil outside but we like to keep a little growing inside the house that will take us through the majority of the winter. We love our basil for spaghetti and pizza sauces and stuff like that.
Leah's 16th birthday is coming up this week. (My friends the Butler's have their anniversary on the same day as Leah's birthday so I never forget their anniversary!! ) We went ahead and bought her a little iPod that she has been wanting (and hopefully will not loose). I typically don't spend that much but we wanted something extra special for this special birthday. She is planning on having a slumber party in another couple of weeks to celebrate with friends but for our family celebration she has requested cheesecake!
Jordan...the trampoline has been a huge success. He is now jumping for an hour or more a day. The biggest issue is trying to find times when the trampoline is dry from the almost daily rain showers we have been getting. I have been asking my friends, "Where is global warming, and how do I get some?" He is asking daily about vacation time (which I think means, "When do I have time off from school?"). We only have 3 more lessons and a test in our math book which means we will probably be finished with that early next week. I think I may keep him going on Science and History through out "break" so that we can be a little further along before testing time in August.
Time to kick back and rest for the evening so we will catch up with you later. Hope you have a great week.
