I decided on Friday to give the chiropractor a whirl and see if he could do anything to help with my ear issues. He said that I was majorly out of alignment and that was contributing to my ear issue and not allowing my ear to drain. I don't completely understand how it works, I only know that he was able to relieve some of the pressure and I have been better...not 100% yet but improving. He also uses this little laser thing and that helps bust up some of that congestion. I am supposed to go in again on Monday.
Friday night we went and saw our friend Steve in a production of Fiddler on the Roof. Steve was wonderful in the lead role of Tevye. There was also an orchestra to play along comprised mostly of students. (Thinking of our friend Lindsey...wouldn't that be cool? Maybe there is something like that in your area.) I'm so thrilled that my family gets to do things like this from time to time and share in the lives or our small group "family". This production was at one of the local Methodist churches. How awesome it is that the churches in our area are supporting the arts and giving their resources to support quality productions that the entire family can enjoy.
We were hoping to hear something on Mark's job on Monday, that hasn't materialized yet. The waiting and not knowing for sure is frustrating. There was never a succession plan put in place for what would happen if the boss left so we are still waiting to hear what the company's plans for the future are. For now, Mark is just doing what he has always done and gives the job his best.
On balance-we continue to live by the guidance of God's hand. I don't know what tomorrow will hold but I know who holds tomorrow. For now that is enough.
