Things have been pretty quiet around here. Mark and I had a date this weekend. I had the kids spend the night at my friend Lynette's. It didn't exactly turn out as planned. I've been fighting a bug off and on for the last couple of weeks and it reared it's ugly head again (fever, chills, intestinal stuff). Hopefully this thing will work it's way on out of my system and I'll be back to myself soon. Back to our date, we just curled up on the couch, watched tv and had a really nice meal. Mark made a risotto recipe from our Cooking Light magazine. It was actually really yummy. I love my kids but I was happy to be able to have a conversation with my husband without being interrupted.
Today we've been watching the Gospel Music Channel on tv. They had Facing the Giants, Fireproof, and the the Dove Awards on. This was our first time seeing Fireproof, we liked it a lot and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Both movies serve as a reminder that relationships aren't always easy but that God can bring healing to those who seek him. I guess I'll hop on down and watch the Doves with my family.
