August...Already?

I realized as they were doing announcements in church yesterday that it is August already. It doesn't seem possible. I kind of feel like the whole summer is a blur.

We had a pretty good weekend. Mark went out and got The Wizard of Oz on Blu-Ray for us on Friday. I think I will always think of that movie as, "The Wicked of Witch" as our friend Lindsey called it when she was a littl girl. It was a little pricey but we are using that $20 we found to off-set the cost. I love all of the movie history features that are included, some on the Wizard of Oz and some on MGM. I didn't realize that The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind were made in the same year and, the director Victor Flemming, did a lot of work on both.

Jordan is turning 16 this Thursday. It doesn't seem possible but some of that is because he remains such a little boy. This morning he is grinching...hope that clears up or it's going to be a LONG day.

Leah is enjoying the freedom of being able to drive. She's been out shopping and met a friend to go mini-golfing already. I'm glad she has her license and can do some of this running around herself. I don't know how we are going to work out the whole car thing in the fall now that we have 3 drivers and 1 car but I'm sure we'll figure it out or God will provide another way.
