Wednesday

Change of plans, sort of. They decided not to have a service for Grandma at this time so we aren't going to North Dakota (where Mark's dad lives) after all. They did cremation for now and will do a graveside service later. It probably is for the best, Jerry's wife Susan says that they are having a bad winter and for us finances are rather tight at the moment. I don't remember if I mentioned it or not but last week the control panel for the fridge went on the fritz. They say these things come in bunches but honestly right now I don't need and more unexpected expenses until we have had another pay day or two.

Leah is on Spring Break this week so while we have the car available more often I think I'll run some errands. A couple of us need our glasses adjusted (which thankfully is free). I also need to make another run for allergy meds, Mark and both of the kids are having trouble right now. Thankfully due to nasal rinses and Flonase my allergies, for the moment, under better control. Jordan and I are putting in one more day of school this week and then will take a long weekend off.

Kind of nice, Mark and I got to go out on a date last night. Things have been rather stressful and a night out is just what I needed. I think our waiter was probably rather surprised to get a $5 tip on a $10 meal. Just because we are saving money doesn't mean he should have to suffer. We tip what we would pay for 2 meals because we are taking up time and space in his booth. Mark and I have both waited tables at one time or another and we appreciate good service.
