A Bit Easier

I think this week should be a bit easier. Last week we got our new roof on. I was so grateful to have a place to go so I didn't have to listen to that pounding all day. We've got some touch up paint work left to do. The gas valve on the heater was replaced last week. This week we've got to pay Leah's traffic ticket. It's always something but God provides somehow. Someone asked about Leah's knives, we aren't going to be able to replace those right now, she is going to have to make due with what we have at home or borrow. I know it's a bit of a painful lesson but that life.

The house needs to be painted and repaired all over but for the moment finances have dried up and we are at the end of what we can do. That's the thing about being your own "credit card" when it's gone, there isn't anymore so that's that. Mom asked me recently if Mark had ever finished up the master bath (he ripped that out about 5 years ago). Well it has vinyl on the floor, a toilet, and a sink, no shower yet. We'll get it finished some day, it may just take longer than we hoped. Lesson learned: don't start that kind of project till you have all of the materials purchased and then financing the project won't be an issue! Onward.

We went to church Saturday night. There is a new kiddo in the Special Friends class that is going to be more on Jordan's level. (Until now Jordan has been the only verbal one in that age group.) With at least 2 kids they are going to try to do more of a lesson. I do what I can to get the Word in at home but it will be nice to have a supplement to what I am doing.

I just realized that it is about lunchtime so I had better scoot and gt at it before Jordan gets too hungry. Have a great day!
