4byes & 8 Bad Eyes

Today was our yearly trip to the eye doctor. Everyone's eyes were worse and we all needed new prescriptions. Needless to say we cleaned out about 1/2 of our Health Savings Account but thank God we have that and we don't have to put stuff on credit. Since we are going to the Y so often we also got Jordan a pair of swimming goggles since they were on sale for $100. I may have Mark go back and get a pair too since he has been wanting some for a long time. I got to get my first pair of bifocal glasses (YIPEEE....NOT!!!). Oh well, I guess I can't put off aging forever.

Well we are officially through our first week of homeschool. Adjustments will have to be made but all in all I think we did fine. Jordan is going to have to adjust to new routines and expectations, which with autism is the most difficult part. Leah is learning that the new curriculum is going to have to require some memorization and paying attention to details, we can't just zip through it and expect to get an A. Jordan and Leah are both reading The Tales of Despereaux (? on the spelling) and Leah has probably 3 or so other books she is reading for fun on the side. She is a voracious reader.

Mark got free tickets to the Rockies game on Sunday and we are really looking forward to that. Pray that it doesn't get rained out. Hopefully I'll remember to take pictures. Have a great weekend!
