For those of you who are counting, as of today-Friday the 21st, it is now 4 days left till Christmas. I probably have all the shopping done I am going to do except for a few clothes and things for the kids and I need them with me to do that. We are starting to pile our presents under the tree, this is especially important to Jordan who was beginning to wonder if we were EVER going to get around to having presents. Mark's big gift arrived today (his guitar) but he found a few flaws that need to be corrected.
We got several more Christmas Cards today. What fun it is to see everybody's kids growing up!!!
The weather people started predicting snow for here and you would think by the crowds and the impatience of people that we were in for a big blizzard! Mark heard we weren't supposed to get much but it has been blowing a lot which I guess makes it seem worse than it really is.
Speaking of blizzards....I found this cute little children's book at the library called The Christmas Blizzard by Helen Ketteman. It is written for younger kids but I just howled. You know how some of the stories that the "old timers" tell get a little windy...well this story is narrated from the perspective of an old timer telling the young wippersnapper about the "big blizzard" of 22. The whole thing just tickled me.
Leah has just made me some homemade pudding so I guess I had better scoot and get while the gettin' is good.
