Well it has been an interesting week to say the least. Jordan did great with school work again on Monday and Tuesday but by Wednesday it was not a good time for either of us and this has been true for the last couple of weeks. So the ABA part of our parenting kicks in and we are trying to figure out what is going on here. So....my friend Lynn who is my autism mentor suggested some different vitamins that have helped her son, it can't hurt. The next thing we may try is to put a break in the middle of the week and just bump up our hours through the week to cover even if that means putting in an hour or two on the weekend. It also may be some growth issues kicking in, Jordan literally ate all day yesterday.
Leah is finding out the necessity of organization and planning. We had a big discussion yesterday about "being caught up" doesn't mean caught up except for the things that were supposed to be due today. She has been trying to give me a hand with Jordan too and I appreciate the effort but there are things that I just have to do myself. Other than that, Leah is doing great. She is really starting to think about how grown up decisions are made and is seeing the wisdom of the the counsel of the Bible.
All of those little holiday parties and events are starting to pile up and scheduling becomes an absolute necessity. I really want to get my Christmas cards done and sent out (with pictures included, which I haven't taken yet). We are also doing our best to squeeze in time at the Y so that we can all take good care of those bodies that God has given us. Details....details! I just have to remember to keep what's really important (faith and family) at the top of the list and I guess the rest will fall into place and if it doesn't, it probably shouldn't have been on the list in the first place. Kind of cool, Mark has taken our anniversary off and we will be able to spend the whole day together (and we will even get some of that time without the kids!!!).
