Our Weekend

This weekend we spent doing lots of odds and ends. Mark studied for his test. We had our usual weekend stuff at church.

I started to change the bulb in the kitchen fixture over the food prep area and it shorted out on me, sending sparks. I'm just thankful my hair didn't catch on fire. As usual with our family, the first thing we bought turned out to be oversized. Then we tried another local store and didn't find anything we liked. So we finally headed to Denver (while it was snowing like crazy) and found 2 matching fixtures for the 2 areas in the kitchen requiring lighting. But as our "luck" would have it, one of the fixtures was defective and we had to make the trip AGAIN on Monday, thankfully, it was a much better weather day. In the end we love our new lighting.

While I was at the store I found a super deal on a new comforter/shams/and a bedskirt for my bed $75 for the set, it had started out at over $175)! It is a beautiful burgandy color which I just love because it reminds me of fall leaves in the Midwest. I'll send along pictures when I can. At the store they had some pretty gold color pillows with it, I think I am going to look for something like that but at a better price. Call me stingy but I don't see paying an arm and a leg for decorative pillows, and I'm definitly not spending more for pillows than I spent on the bedding!

We also got a "new to us" computer from work this week and Mark has been busy making sure everything is transfered over but apparently we still need to add the pictue software because my pictures aren't loading to the computer.

Better get on with school for today. I woke up at like 4:00 this morning and had a hard time getting back to sleep, I'll probably poop out early.
