So starts another week and all of the craziness that ensues. Leah's spring schedule started today. She did some cooking for lunch and then rushed out the door (running a bit late). Since it was the first day of class her first class didn't last as long as usual. She also found out that she needs another $150 for supplies AND a uniform. A bit frustrating and straining on the finances (this is in addition to the almost $200 we had to shell out for the knives for the class). I would be cool with it if Leah were going to do some kind of culinary major but for an into class this seems to be a bit much. Grrrr.....
Backtracking a bit-Mark and I went to his company party this weekend and then spent the night at the hotel. It was a nice meal and we got to spend some time by ourselves. We went out and had a really good breakfast. I had a breakfast burrito, spicy but delicious, and hash browns. I need to figure out how to make a green chili sauce (a little less spicy) so I can make something like that at home. Mark had a corned beef hash, eggs, and pancakes. You know someplace is going to be good when the parking lot is packed well after traditional meal time.
School is done for the day but Monday is also laundry day so I'd better get at it! Chat at you later.
