New Year

Wow, can't believe it is the New Year already. We had a fairly quiet New Year's eve at our house. We stayed up, watched movies, and watched the countdown on Fox News. Jordan's favorite part of New Years is blowing those little horns so our friend Lynette brought over a set of them for us to use. I'm glad we didn't plan on going out because it was REALLY cold and the roads were a little icy from the snow the previous day. After the celebrations were done and everyone had headed to bed, Jordan threw up (he had eaten too much that day). So after cleaning the carpet and giving Jordan a shower, we finally got to bed about 2:00. No surprise, I woke up the next morning with a headache because I had not gotten enough sleep. I'm hoping that the first day of 2011 is not a sign of things to come.

It was nice to have everyone home and have Beth visit but I'm glad to be back to the routine too. Jordan tends to do better when we have a schedule. He marched right through his schoolwork this morning. I think he was excited that for his physical activity today that hwe was going to get to Wii bowl. PTL: my left ear finally opened up this morning....pray that this is a sign of good things to come! Leah doesn't start classes for another couple of weeks.

I think I'll sign off for now and maybe squeeze in a quick nap or read a bit. Jordan is doing his bowling on the Wii, and our friend Katilyn is over to play with Leah a little while. Leah is kind of a big sister to Katilyn, her brother is 16 and her older sister is an adult and already out of the house. She's so good when she's here and I'm sure it's nice for her (and her mom) to get her out of the house a little. Katilyn is a kid like Leah, she is bored stiff when she isn't in school.
