I am beginning to feel as if this is some sort of time of testing of our faith in the area of finances. So this is the verdict on the car situation: There were several little things like the air filter needed to be replaced, headlight out, blah, blah, blah. The thing making the engine light go off is a cracked tube in the vacuum system, that is going to cost us about $350. When we get that taken care of, we are about due for new brakes, and rotors for the front (not critical yet). Ok, breathe in, breathe out.
If you are familiar with Dave Ramsey stuff you will probably remember him talking about Murphy moving in (if something can go wrong it will). We are serious about getting out of debt and staying there and I am more than ready for Murphy to MOVE OUT! We are doing ok but I am missing the security blanket of that emergency fund.
God be our provider and please help me not to stress. Help us to be good managers of what you have given us and mindful of those who are less fortunate.
