Goals 2012

I hate the term New Year's resolutions, it always seems like it is a plan for failure.  I prefer goals.  I've thought about it a few days so here are my goals for 2012:
  • Keep progressing on my goal to read through the Bible, a year is the goal but as long as I get through it, that is the important thing.  I started in July with an app on my phone that allows me to read or listen.  I am up to Proverbs now-so much wisdom there, you kind of wonder why more people don't follow it more often.
  • Keep trying to get this 40 something body to function as well as I can.  This includes exercise, keeping my weight in check, making sure I am getting my water in, and looking for new foods that I enjoy that are good for me.
  • Read-it keeps the brain active.  We got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and Mark and I are reading through some of the classics.
  • Continue with debt reduction-the car should be paid off in April or early May.  We are hoping to get the credit cards paid off by the end of the year also but some defered maintenance on the house is starting to show and this may put a kink in our plans.  With God's help, we would like to be out of debt except for the house by the end of the year.
