It's almost fall again and I started seeing a few leaves fall off the trees yesterday. Here in Colorado we are in the low 50's in the morning and in the 80's by the end of the day. How do you dress for weather like that....you dress in layers or you change your clothes through the day.
We tried the YMCA closest to us tonight and decided that we like the newer one just up the road a lot better. Jordan kept asking where the water slide was and of course they don't have one at the older facility. I noticed that we are going to have to hunt Leah down a new swimsuit before they all disappear because hers has had a little too much chlorine already.
I have been trying to shop for end of the season bargains for some new summer shirts, all of my old ones are little better than rags. I was able to find some good little plain t-shirts in the petites section of Dillard's for $8. I didn't think I would be able to wear petite but I guess it works because I am so short waisted. If my top half was proportioned like my bottom half I would be tall. I told Mark, that if you figure in the price I paid for the shirts and the fact that I will probably wear it for 3-5 years, I couldn't do much if any better at a thrift store. Every penny saved is still a blessing.
We got a book we ordered called Facts Plus by Susan C. Anthony today. My friend Robin had let us borrow an older copy but she needed it back and we had just fallen in love with it. It has facts lots of basic knowledge (copy of the Declaration, how to punctuate, write a letter, moon phases, etc.); facts (national parks listing, state abbreviations, basic stats on countries of the world); kind of like a mini-encyclopedia. I would recommend it as a good "catch all" type resource.
Time for a little tea and some chillin' before bedtime.
