We aren't doing a whole lot this weekend. Yesterday we went to church and I did a little school work with Jordan. Today we all just took our time getting up and moving. I am trying to finish up my bible study before group time tomorrow. Mark is making jambalaya for lunch and watching the Chief's game with Leah who tends to do a play by play. Jordan is thrilled to have some alone time to just play on the computer. This evening we are doing our small group with some families from church.
I changed Jordan's math curriculum this week to the Saxon Math program for homeschoolers. It is a little pricey but seems to be fitting his needs much better. This program has a lot of repetition and practice on basic skills, which Jordan needs. We finished our first history unit on the Revolutionary War and will be doing some review and I need to come up with a test this week. We are doing as much "free reading" time as we can on the historic stuff that we might see on our vacation this fall.
Leah has had a lighter week this week but she has some papers and a book report due soon so I am sure she will have lots to do. She is also reading some of the books I am bringing home for Jordan on the Revolution and is about to hit that unit in her studies too. She started I Groups this week (small group bible study).
Better run and get some stuff done while everyone else busy.
