We decided to head to Florrisant again today because there was so much we didn't get to see last time. We took 2 different trails and between the two it was quite a hike. Leah found some samples of fossilized tree pieces along the trail but we couldn't keep them and my camera had just run out of battery-bummer!! We had to hurry at the end because a storm was rolling in and we didn't want to get drenched or worse yet, struck by lightning. As it turns out we were late getting back as it was and the park had closed 20 minutes before. Needless to say, I think we all will sleeping well tonight (at least I hope so).
We went ahead and bought our National Parks Pass today and we plan to get as much use of it as we can during vacation. I am hoping it was worth the investment. We also bought this neat little thing where we can get our "passport" stamped at all of the National Parks we visit. I am really looking forward to all of the cool things we will see this year!
Better run and get some things done before bedtime. Mark and Leah are watching a football game. I think Jordan is counting the hours till his computer grounding is over (next Saturday.) Since we got satellite this year we are hoping to be able to catch a few more Chief's games this year. We are "foreigners" here in Bronco country!
