MLK Monday

Not too much going on here today just thought I would catch up a bit before I got my day started.

We had a good but busy weekend. Mark took Thursday and Friday off because he drummed @ church on back to back weekends. If he doesn't take time off he essentially winds up working 3 weeks straight and that gets to be a bit much for him and for us. He found his extra drum sticks and carrying case at church which we are excited about! We went to Denver to see about having his new guitar repaired but we think we are just going to wind up using someone local and get some recommendations from the guys @ church.

Leah's friend Natalie spent the night and went to church with her on Saturday. They had a great time and got to catch up about all of the goings on @ Leah's previous school. They got some blankets out and had a "camp-out" in the living room floor and played video games and watched Harry Potter 5. Leah told Natalie that they couldn't stay up too late because Jordan would be up early in the morning and would be LOUD, which he was. Pretty good thinking ahead Leah!

We had our small group get together last night. We are doing The Truth Project put out by Focus on the Family. We discussed how God's first institution, the family (father, mother, children), was patterned after the trinity (Father, Son, Spirit). The next part talked about how the church is also to be set up also with a 3 part nature with Christ the head, the church leadership, and then the rest of the "flock" under that. If talked about how all 3 parts is unique in it's role but yet functions in harmony, at least that's how it's designed to work. I had never thought about it in quite that way before, it was interesting.

Better run and get on with my day, it's snowing and Jordan's up and running. By the way, this morning Reagan likes Mexican cuisine and his favorite food is, jalapenos (which is probably spelled as "howlapeno".)
