For several years now I have been making it a practice to take the month of November and think of one thing to be grateful for every day. This year I have decided to title the exercise: Grattitude Adjustment. This is my entry for today: I am thankful for the cloudy, rainy day this morning because it reminds me that we need balance. Sunshine is wonderful, it brings joy to our soul and vitamin D to our bones. Rain makes everything grow and washes all of those nasty pollens and dust out of the air :) Have a great day wheather God is bringing you sunshine or rain today!
Now for updates on the weekend. You saw that I posted Leah's homecoming pictures. Saturday evening she had tickets to the Air Force/Utah game and so she and Mark went and had a great time. The game looked like a blow-out but AF came back and made it close in the end.
A little household chore-Mark has begun to replace all of the old outlet covers and switches in the house. This is a project we can do a little bit at a time as we have the money. We are gradually trying to update the house since we know that this is not our "forever house" and we want it to sell well.

Leah made some caramel apples this weekend and we learned some tips from Alton Brown on Food Network that we wanted to pass along. 1) Use chopsticks instead of those short little craft sticks that come in the package of caramels (you can usually pick up some for free when you have Chinese food). They are sturdier and longer handled making it less messy to eat. Don't seperate the sticks. 2) Instead of washing the apples, after you insert the sticks, stick the apple in boiling water for about 8-10 seconds. This will melt the food wax on the apples and you can just wipe it off. 3) Go in from the bottom of the apple instead of the top, more caramel on top that way. Just finish them off like normal. I told Leah that you need caramel smeared from ear to ear at least once a year!

Sorry, spell check isn't working again today. Hopefully I didn't do too bad :)
