I'm grateful today for the first snow of the season. Somehow the snow always speaks the message of God's forgiveness of sin. He takes my sin and covers it but I somehow manage to muddy it up again. My goal, to live the beauty of what he created me to be. On the lighter side, I'm also grateful for sweatshirts and warm slippers.
It's been a busy but somewhat "normal" week around here. Leah is looking at class schedules for next fall. We had a school textbook lost and found this morning. Jordan, well he's being Jordan. The change in the weather has increased his overall noise level a good bit. Mark has been out of town for work for a few days but will be home later on today. I've been getting to some of the grocery shopping a store or two at a time. We are trying to be conscious of budget while stocking up for the holidays. We found a spice store that has bulk spices as well as some special things you don't find on the shelves everyday, kind of a cool place if you like to cook. I'm going to start picking up turkeys soon and sticking as many back as I can. When they go on sale, they are so much less expensive than anything else out there.
I'd better scoot and check on Jordan's work. I think I'm also going to look for a hot cocoa recipe. I have a recipe from my Aunt Mame from several years ago but our tastes have changed and it's a little too sweet. I may just have to cut back on the powdered sugar.
