I thought you all would find this interesting.....I have been keeping a reading log for each one of the kids since we started homeschooling. To date this school year Jordan's total for finished books is a grand total of 15 books with 439 pages (doesn't count Despereaux which is a chapter book that is taking us an eternity to read). Leah's total (drum roll please) is an astounding 30 books with a total of 5,748 pages (not counting all of those things she forgot to write down or things she has already read at least one time before)!!
Jordan tends to only read what is absolutely required-but that doesn't count the countless hours he spends reading on the internet. He is going to be a walking/talking encyclopedia of information. Leah on the other hand will read anything from books to magazines to cereal boxes. I think that is one of the neatest things about homeschool, kids have time to read just for the fun of it!!!
