Snowin and Blowin

It's a good thing that the snow isn't heavier today because it sure is blowing. All that wind and the house popping and cracking make it difficult to think straight. Hopefully it will calm down soon and we can return to a bit more of a spring like weather pattern.

Leah has been working on some essays for school. I am glad she is getting some practice writing all those essays, I think it will serve her well in the next few years. Play practice is going well and she is doing really well memorizing her lines. We have decided that when it warms up a bit in the next few days we are going to take some "before" pictures of Leah before she starts getting her orthodontic hardware on.

Jordan's reading-I found a book about a fox. Rohald Dahl who wrote James and the Giant Peach (the book I had originally thought we would do next) had written a book called, The Fantastic Mr. Fox. This is right up Jordan's alley as far as interest right now so he is really engaged with what we are reading. I found a web-site that I can download reading comprehension from that is a little more on the "fill in the blank" type of reading comprehension so that's going a little easier at the moment too.

Have a great day!
