Leah Marie Bye: Born-June 18, 1993. Weight-6lbs.41/2 oz. Length- 20 inches long.
Leah at 5 months. She really didn't smile much until she was 6 months old. She definitely had "her people" and took her a while to warm up to anyone new. In some ways she is still a bit like that.
Leah's 1st Birthday
Leah's 2nd Birthday. You can see her with some of her gifts, a Baby Bop and some books. Leah has always had a love of reading even from the beginning.
Leah's 3rd Birthday.
Leah and her friend Natalie Butler at the age of 5.
Leah's 6th Birthday. The cousins on the Bye side of the family only lived an hour or so from us at that time so we did family birthdays a lot when the kids were little.
Leah's first tooth. What a production it was to get that thing pulled out. Luckily in the end she pulled it herself and then she was SO PROUD!!!
Leah's first day of First Grade.
This is a picture of her with her on her 8th birthday shortly after we moved to Colorado. She really loved that little dress and wore it for any special occasion she could think of.
Leah at probably 8 or so. She got glasses when she was in Second Grade.
Leah's 10th Birthday. She had her friend Stephanie (pictured below) over and we went mini golfing. It has become somewhat of a special thing for us to do for birthdays.
Leah's 13th Birthday. She had her friends Aaron, Austin, and Timber over for cake and things and then we went to a baseball game.
Leah's 14th Birthday. In looking back I realized how much her look had changed that year.
We took this on Mother's Day this year. It is one of my favorite pictures of Leah. This is shortly after she got on her top braces.
Birthday number 15. Leah wanted cheesecake for her birthday so that's what Mark made her. It was REALLY yummy! Grandma Pat and her friend Jean came by for lunch and cheesecake. I took pictures but unfortunately they didn't turn out. Maybe Mom can send me a copy of some of the pictures Jean took later.
The lighting of the candles.
Our birthday girl. I can't believe she will be learning to drive and starting high school this year!Looking forward: Jeremiah 29:11 tells us: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future". Remember that as things and people around change and you sometimes feel "out of control" that you have your faith, and your family who loves you very much, those things will never change. We look forward with great anticipation to the days that are yet to come!
All our love,
Mom, Dad, and Jordan
