Quiet Weekend

Actually we have had a pretty quiet weekend here. I guess I have kind of needed one. At the moment Leah and Mark are off at church doing various things and Jordan and I are on our respective computers.

We got some stuff planted this weekend. We planted rosemary, basil, thyme, as well as some peppers of various levels of heat in the back yard next to the patio. We have oregano and chives that come up every year and don't have to be re-planted. The herbs are good while they last and they are much cheaper than buying them in the store!

In the front yard, Mark and I have been talking about trying hosta's in our front little flower garden. I found some (hosta) bulbs (or whatever they are called) on clearance at Wal-Mart for a dollar so I thought we would give it a go. We probably won't see much from those for a year or two but hopefully they will be a nice addition to that area. As much as possible we try to do perennial plants that are ok with our climate so we don't have to re-plant stuff every year.

I think I am going to go veg a while and read or watch some mindless television.
