Speaking of Repairs

I guess plans change a little bit to fit the facts on the ground. We were planning on replacing the back patio door this spring but we have found parts to make it work for now which is a good thing because....the fan on our heater/air-conditioning unit has got to be replaced....now! The other day the fan started making a lot of noise and when Mark checked it, it was hot. This heater is probably original to the house (25 years or so) but other than the fan it still works fine and isn't leaking carbon monoxide or anything. So the repair guy is popping in and out today working on our air unit. In a way, it is a blessing that it has happened now because it hasn't been too hot or too cold and we have been able to just keep the house shut up for a few days and stay comfortable.

So Janet, you can tell Terri, I spent her $500 dollars for her. Terri's car was "sick" and she was told that the radiator would have to be replaced. As it turned out, a simple radiator cap fixed the car issue for now. That is AFTER she told the repair guys that she didn't have the money to fix the car. Amazing how that happens isn't it?

Back to the events at our house. Leah had her appointment with the orthodontist yesterday and had wire #2 put in on top. I guess the wires get progressively stiffer as the teeth move into place. Then, last night Leah and Mark went to a Christian concert featuring several local/regional artists. I'm glad that Mark and Leah have something that they enjoy doing together. Jordan and I spent the evening just relaxing.

Mark has taken a couple of days off and has been puttering around the house, playing drums for something @ church, and studying for his next test which he has decided to put off for a couple of days till he is more comfortable with the material. The company will pay for the cost of his test if he passes but if he doesn't, we eat the cost.

Better go and get some stuff lined out. We have several little things to do this weekend (grade some school work, go to church, go grocery shopping, do laundry, pick out Father's Day stuff, planning for Leah's birthday next week, and on....and on....and so forth) so I had better get cracking and get organized.
