I put Leah on the Metro this morning to commute to school. We won't do this every day but every day she can do it, will save us a little money. Mark has been riding to and from work on his bike as often as the weather allows. A side benefit for him is that he has lost about 8 pounds!
I copied off Jordan's unit test for Verbs this morning and it reminded me of something. In the first few weeks of Leah's college English class they did a quiz/worksheet on the usage of comma's and it was amazing how many people failed it. Basic grammar rules is just something they just don't teach any more. I am loving this Easy Grammar curriculum I am using with Jordan and I am learning stuff too.
It's been a tough week with Jordan and school but thankfully it is finally almost over. I need to go back and do a little review with him (which he hates) because he didn't get a sufficient percentage on his Science test this week. I have to figure out if he just wasn't paying attention or if they are asking the questions differently on the test than in the review material. For a typical kid this wouldn't normally be a problem, but since Jordan's major issue right now is reading comprehension, wording makes a difference.
Better scoot. Have a good weekend!
