It's funny sometimes what becomes a classic. Mark and I love the movie, The Princess Bride, because it is "our movie". I stayed in Missouri during the summer of 88. Some friends from college (SBU) had brought Mark along to hang out at my apartment and watch movies. The Princess Bride was the movie I had on. It's one of those quirky movies that is full of silly dialogue but has something in it for both the guys and the girls. Mark and I both loved the movie so we just sat and chatted during the whole thing...the beginning of our own fairy tale.
Leah mentioned the other day that a lot of HER friends liked the movie and were going around quoting some of the more famous lines from the film. I guess what comes around goes around, and yes, even some things from the 80's are "cool" again. (Although Leah would rather not see a return of the big hair that mommy and her friends wore. But the skinny jeans are cool. Where was spandex for jeans during the 80's?)
