Another summer week about ready to be marked off the calendar. Jordan is improving a bit day by day but he still seems to need the ibuprofen. Last night I had Leah give Jordan his 10:30 dose and I went to bed early, that seemed to help me a bit, I've been so tired.
Leah and I got our eye appointments out of the way yesterday. She hasn't had new glasses in a while so she needed a new pair (plus contacts which we haven't purchased yet). I got a new prescription and frames. I don't get the special clip-on sunglasses any more, I just buy a pair of cheep ones at Wal-Mart that fit over my glasses.
The State Farm adjuster came yesterday too and we are getting a new roof. Both the agent and the adjuster strongly suggested that we purchase one of those hail-resistant roofs (supposed to last 30 years) because we get a lot of hail in this area and the "regular roofs" just don't hold up in this climate. Part of it is the hail and part is the wide swing in our temperatures from day to day. We've had a good hailstorm probably 3 or 4 times here in June and July with large marble sized hail. State Farm also gives you a 20 % discount on your homeowners to encourage purchase this product because in the end it saves all of us time and money. We'll have to see how much more it is going to be and we'll get some competitive bids. Hopefully, everything will work out ok in the end.
