As the title of this particular post suggests what we did this weekend was recover. Jordan is only on the antibiotic and ibuprofen for the pain now. He still doesn't want to eat much and it clenching his teeth. I'm hoping he doesn't get the dry sockets but at this point I've done what I can do and nature is going to just have to take it's course. I did manage to get him shaved this morning which was desperately needed! He grows a pretty good beard for a kid who is almost 16.
This week we have: school for Leah; Jordan's has a check-up with the oral surgeon to make sure he is healing ok; SF adjuster coming to take a look at the roof; an eye appointment for Leah; and if I can squeeze it in...haircuts. I may see if I can get into the eye doctor soon too, my vision is kind of off. I seem to be seeing the normal distance stuff better without the glasses but I definitely need them for reading, it's time for a check-up anyway.
Some good news, Mark worked on a computer this weekend and is going to make some extra money. Bad news for the owner, the computer is dying. Mark was able to get it cleaned up enough for them to be able to pull off their data. The thing was eaten up with viruses. That's what happens when you don't keep your computer anti-virus protection updated. Viruses are getting tricky so he has several different free tools he uses to keep things clean. If you'd like some advice let us know and we'll be happy to pass along the info.
Don't know if I mentioned it or not but we are doing one of those online back-up services (Mozy). It is a reputable company (Carbonite is the other one I know of). Got to thinking about it and if your house burns down or something, you need an off site back-up. Most people don't back up their computer or back it up enough. This way, you have a daily back-up and you don't have to think about it other than when you pay for your subscription. We chose the yearly fee which was $54.45 but they did have a monthly option (I think it was $5). If you've ever had a hard-drive crash, you know that the price is nothing compared to the cost of trying to recover the data or the sentimental value of the pictures you probably lost.
Leah just came in and said we are supposed to hit a record high of 99 today. We are SO thankful for air-conditioning! Who said you don't need air-conditioning in Colorado? You don't need it all the time but when you need it, you need it, and it DOES help with the allergies.
