Thursday

It's almost the end of the week. I woke up this morning just sure it was Saturday, but sadly, no. Leah and I are popping into the eye doctor today. Our glasses are in and she has a contact check on her new lenses. Did I mention that she is going to start wearing monthly lenses? I think I'll try and get the boys in sometime after our vacation.

Tomorrow Leah is going to go take her drivers test. We are hoping that she passes the first time because it has to be 3 weeks before you can try again. I told her that she can't possibly do worse than Daddy on his first try (short of hitting someone). If you haven't heard this story, you ought to ask him sometime, it is hilarious. We are going through our list to make sure we have all of the paperwork in hand (you don't want to have to go back...the line is usually dreadful). Then sometime tomorrow I need to pop into State Farm and make sure she gets on our insurance...more paperwork but we do get some discounts so I guess it's worth it.

Mark has been so tired this week. Some of it I'm sure is due to the traveling but he has a lot on his mind so that probably isn't helping with the sleep issue either.

I'm starting to settle down a bit after the hub-bub of the summer. I pulled Jordan's schoolwork out today and I am starting him on an abbreviated schedule. He's not really happy with me but as Unlce Bernie would say, "Such is life." I think we will start a full schedule on August 16th.
