I've just noticed the last several days that Jordan is starting to show a few signs of growing up, slowly yes, but growing up. I guess it started a couple of weeks ago when he started noticing when his hair was getting greasy and needed washed. He still comes to me and has me touch his hair and then tell him it's ok to go take a shower but it is progress and he is noticing. This morning he came and told me, "I'm out of cereal. We need to go to the store." Parents of a "typical" child can't possibly understand what this little simple declaration means to a momma like me.
We spent a quite weekend at home. Mark has been on a work trip for a week but is coming home TODAY!!!! I didn't think he would be home till later in the week but I am not complaining. The kids went to a pool party with the youth group last night. I think they both had fun but Miss Susan said that about half an hour before it was all over Jordan was done. It was probably just too noisy. From what Leah said, a lot of the teenage girls were screaming a good part of the time and the noise just bounced off the walls. I'm glad they both went and they both had a good time. Jordan feels a little better each day and I have managed to get a night or two where I could sleep all the way through the night-such a blessing!
Guess I'd better grab a shower and figure out what else I need at the store today.
