This and That

I have some non-FB readers on my blog so I thought I would copy off some of the more interesting items I posted this week.

Sunday-For St. Patricks Day I made an old recipe of my Grandma Tucker, a green Kool-aid punch. (It was something Jordan could have to make the day special.) As with a lot of the older recipes I had to cut the sugar in half.  I may try cutting it in half again sometime and see if it is enough sugar, it's funny how our tastes change over time.

Sunday-Yes, I'm just now getting around to getting my Christmas tree put away and I had a crazy idea but it worked! Wind up the lights on used paper towel rolls.

Friday-Autism moment (an exchange between Jordan and Miss Micha): J-How does my hair look? M-Good. J-I brushed it. J- How does my body look? M-(Ok, where is this going?) Good. J-I took a bath.

Other stuff: It's been a busy weekend.  Yesterday my friend Lynette's daughter came to visit for the afternoon.  I know she really wants to see Leah but she humors me by saying she is coming to Miss Nancy's for a visit.  Katilyn is a lot like Leah so it is kind of like having a little sister around.

It is windy as heck today (Sunday) and Jordan and I are both feeling the effects of the weather.  Hopefully this will pass soon and we can start feeling better.  Mark has been drumming this weekend at church and then has spent the afternoon on the computer doing work stuff, hopefully he will have some time free this evening.  Leah had work today but gets off at a decent time.

I don't know if I mentioned it or not but Leah is thinking about getting a car of her own.  Please be praying that God would send us the right one at the right price at the right time.  We are just hoping that she can find one that runs reliably and won't cost her an arm and a leg to keep running over the next couple of years.
