Back to Reality

Vacation and the holidays are over and so we are headed back to reality. It's a little sad but I guess that's why we appreciate vacations! We didn't do much on everyone's time off but that seems to be what we all needed. I didn't realize how tired I really was.

Leah will be starting her 2 new classes next week. She is taking the second semester of English and will be taking Art/Music Appreciation. Her other 3 classes are high-school classes and they are year long classes. I think she is looking forward to seeing her friends and getting back into routine. Over the break she did finish the written part of her driver's ed and will be moving onto the next step soon.

Jordan and I will be hitting the books again as well. We just keep plugging along and moving onto the next thing. We have a couple more chapters to read of: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, then he decided to read: The BFG before tackling: The Mouse and the Motorcycle. Planning ahead, I am thinking about tackling a foreign language with him during our summer. Jordan has a real interest in languages and can now say the alphabet in: English, Russian (the cyrillic alphabet), and Greek. He also knows some German, Spanish, Hebrew, and ASL (American Sign Language). This minor "obsession" we may be able to turn into some sort of useful job skill.
