An idea to pass along to my friends who are parents: This new year we have started a plan to help deal with the everyday clutter that accumulates (and drives Mom and Dad crazy). Every night after dinner we set a timer for 15 minutes and clutter clean. We have been doing this for a little over a week now and it is really making a difference. I even had time to run the vacuum the other day because I didn't have to take the time to straighten first. The funny thing is that we are starting to whittle down on the piles of things that have been just sitting around (for a while...). Who knows, we may even get to things piling up in the garage soon! You can get a lot accomplished in a short time if everyone is pitching in.
Some news of the day:
Leah has all of the paperwork she needs to go get her permit. (We just have to make the time to go do it.)
Our friend Lindsey got her top braces on today, one step closer to a fabulous smile!
Leah's friend Vicky came over for dinner last night. She is so sweet. Vicky is a foreign exchange student from China. We are learning some neat things about China and she learns some stuff from us. (Next time she is over I have got to remember to take pictures.)
Jordan is trying everything in the book to get out of school. Yesterday he to get out of school. Yesterday he told me he was a coyote and coyotes don't homeschool. Today he decided he was sick (but failed to produce any symptoms). It is amazing but yes, coyotes and "sick" boys manage to do homeschool when they want their computer time.
Well I guess I'd better sign off and figure out what to do with my Christmas cards and pictures. I'm still not ready to part with the Christmas tree yet, maybe in a week or two.
