I found an interesting way to improve Jordan's reading comprehension. I have taken his love for languages and found a book that teaches Greek and Latin root words (grades 4-8). By learning the roots I believe his is going to be able to better decipher the meanings of words. It's kind of an unusual way to go about the whole comprehension thing but then again it Jordan that we are talking about. So far, he LOVES it and ASKS to do his Greek and Latin. Teacher Mommy is learning some new things too. Our first root word this week, ped, which means foot. Cool huh?
The one I think we had the most trouble "picturing" was the word impediment which was something that stands in the way of learning/speaking etc.
