If has always been my goal to offer my children new and healthy food choices. There are foods they don't like the first time, the second time, or the tenth time. I keep trying with the attitude that people's tastes do change over time. Keep offering those healthy choices.
Jordan has grown up with the fact that he has food allergies and there are certain things he has to avoid. We did a gluten-free fried chicken the other day and he was really cautious about eating it and kept asking if it was ok (he's never had fried chicken before). The other day, Leah was putting together the stuff for Jordan's plate: grilled chicken, brown rice, raw spinach (Jordan loves his veggies raw), and she added some grapes and blueberries. Jordan gobbled down everything except the blueberries. Leah asked him to eat just one (just like momma would). Jordan did it but after one bite he says, "I'm allergic". Ok, we'll try blueberries again at a later date.
