Life in the Balance

As I mentioned a few posts ago I am working to get mind, body, and spirit all firing together so I thought I'd give you an update. As is always true with me, these 3 things seem to work together (or not).

My body has been the first to respond, as of this morning I've lost 7.5 pounds doing Weight Watchers online. I have been on the treadmill twice this week. Today I walked at a 7% incline at a 2.8 mph for about 20 minutes and did about another 20 on warm up and cool down. I was SO close to 2 miles for a distance (1.9 miles) but that will come with time. Mark had seen somewhere that if you were having trouble with your knees that walking on an incline is better and that has proved to be true for me. Leah says she's starting to see a difference in my body!

As for the other 2 components mind and spirit, they are starting to come along but a bit slower. I've been doing a Beth Moore study so I am getting out once a week to fellowship with other ladies. I think in time that will help. I want to work on memorizing our scriptures for the week. I am also still trying to figure out knitting thing but I may need some hands on help. Maybe I can find someone in my ladies group that I would feel comfortable with. Got to keep those brain cells firing. What is it they say, "Use it or loose it"? I think I'll keep on keeping on.
