September?

I know it says it's September on the calendar, late September at that, but our temperatures are unusually warm for this time of year. We are breaking record highs right and left. Our typical highs for this time of year are in the mid 60's to low 70's. It has been 80 something the last several weeks. The good news is that we aren't using the air conditioning or the heat (although the mornings are kind of chilly). The bad news is that I have had to go back on allergy medicine (very unusual for me to have fall allergies) and we are still watering the yard because it is to warm for it to go dormant.

Other family happenings: The kids are doing fine. School is plugging along for both kids. Mark is crazy busy at work. He is preparing for a musical production of Godspell where he will be drumming in October. I'm starting to think about holiday planning. We didn't get around to doing Christmas cards last year and I really want to do it this year which means I want to get a family picture. I have a feeling if I don't get it done before Thanksgiving, it won't happen. Leah won't be at home that many more years and I want to make sure we get this time in our lives documented in picture.
