Ok, I know it's not really a big deal but I am so proud of myself, I got the new (new to us) computer monitor hooked up all by myself (after Mark told me what to do)! Mark always takes care of that kind of thing but he's busy at the moment so I decided to give it a whirl. I'm sure he'll do some adjusting when he gets time so it will be "just right". Technical people are picky about their electronics. I'm just glad it works. What do people do who don't have their own in house (literally) computer guy? This monitor, like all of our computer equipment, is stuff that is stuff that they are getting rid of at work. You can't argue with free.
The kids and I went swimming this afternoon. It was nice to get out and get some exercise even though I can't get my head wet yet. I hadn't been able to do to much movin' around with the ear thing the last couple of weeks. I really need to get us to the pool more often, it's something we all enjoy and it lets Jordan burn off some of that endless energy he has. (Must have worked, he went to bed ON HIS OWN!!!)
Memorial Weekend-we don't really have anything special planned but a little R&R. I promised the kids that we would try to see Prince Caspian at the theatre sometime this weekend but I think Mark is going to opt for the new Indiana Jones movie instead. It would be great if we all could all go and see both movies but that really isn't in the budget at the moment. Probably both movies will be out on DVD for Christmas anyway, I guess we can wait.
Aunt Cub asked me this week if we were about done with school for the year. (Her daughter homeschools her 3 kids is about done for the year so that's why she asked.) I hadn't totaled up our hours in a while so I did that this afternoon. We technically only have about another 10 days we need to complete but since we are homeschooling Jordan year round so it doesn't really matter. It is good to know that the "letter of the law" is almost fulfilled. Year one, almost under our belt!
