A Teenage Driver

We are taking our first steps into the roller-coaster road of having a teenage driver in the house. Where we live, you can take the written part of your driving education after 14 1/2 (Leah will be 15 next month anyway). Our state has a couple of pre-approved online courses so we signed her up this week. I am also going to add to her curriculum and have Mark teach her some mechanical basics like changing a tire, checking (and filling) fluids, stuff like that. For sure around here, she is going to need some good drive time on the snow and ice. (I can hardly wait.....can you hear the sarcasm?) She will have to have 50 hours of behind the wheel with parents and a new "tweak" to the law that says that she has to have 6 hours of drive time with a program like Master Driver. (They waive that particular requirement for kids who are older when they get their license.)

Jordan asked me the same question he asks me every morning, "Can I play on the computer?" I answered the same way I do every day, "After you checklist and schoolwork are done." He shut the door firmly behind him. I don't think he likes the answer I give him. Life is rough buddy!

Well today our temps are supposed to be back in the 80's so we can drag our shorts out again. I wish the weather would make up it's mind and be spring or summer (hopefully summer). I am praying the trees finish their blooming soon we can all be done with the allergy-sneezies!
