Thunderstorm

This morning, we are actually having a thunderstorm. Having grown up in the midwest, Mark and I kind of miss them from time to time. Thunderstorms in my area usually aren't too bad as we live close to the mountains and they don't usually have time to get a good head of steam on them before they dump on us. Torndado's are also a rare event around here.

I am still battling the effects of what they are calling labrynthitis. All of this means that my balance isn't what it should be, and I am having dizziness problems. At this point, I am on some kind of steroid and ibuprofen when my ears ache. They are going to send me to a balance clinic (great, more money) next week for a series of treatments. I guess you don't get antibiotics for much these days.

Everybody here is doing ok. Jordan has been a real mess for a while now. I just don't know how much to access to puberty and how much is other autism related (pray for wisdom for Mark and I). I did tell Mark the other day that he must be growing again because he is putting himself to bed at 9:15 or so which is unusual. Leah is doing fine and is settling back in from her weekend. Mark is getting a little extra computer work on the side this week which will mean a little extra cash (also a good thing). Mark was supposed to sing this week at church but they switched him from singing this weekend to drumming next weekend.

Kind of a silly thing, we ordered some new phones (new to us anyway, we bought refurbished) yesterday and should get them next week. We decided to give this refurbished phone thing a try because they were free and when you buy them from your phone company with your new contract and they are usually just things people have returned (they are re-set to factory conditions). Mark and Leah really liked this particular phone because it has an mp3 player with it, which is an important feature to them (my music people). This is just one of those little ways we are trying to be wise with our finances so one day we can be DEBT FREE. If it doesn't work out, we still have some time to return them and try something else.

Better run for now and run goat boy through the shower.
