Mark had some work to do in Kansas this week so the the kids and I packed up and went with him and we visited our friends the Butlers in Missouri. We had a great time and got lots of visiting in but of course it never seems long enough. Todd is probably telling Mark, "I hope Janet doesn't Blog us". Sorry Todd but you are going to be on both families blogs.
*Pictures 1-3 are pictures my friend Janet took.
The daddies both had Friday off so we made some steak wraps which I think all of the Butler's loved. We love to share our cooking recipes and healthy eating ideas with our friends.
Jordan is telling Natalie and Larissa some big story of some kind. It's nice of them to listen, we have all heard most of the story of Reagan a thousand times but it is still new to the Butlers and Jordan loves the audience.
Leah and one of the kids playing video games.
Friday morning while the Butler's were still resting, we went to the new Bass Pro store in KC. Mark and Jordan played a game of checkers on the giant table checker board. I'm not sure Jordan really gets the concept of the game yet.
Leah, Mark, and Jordan (no picture) got a bit of target practice in at the store.
Somewhere along the way, Reagan got lost. We tried printing out a digital picture of Reagan from the picture I had sent Janet but Jordan really wouldn't accept the substitute. He says that he will do a, "new original rendering" of the drawing sometime this month. In the meantime...as luck would have it, Bass Pro had a stuffed coyote toy which also as luck would have it has a little noise maker in his belly which you can squeeze to make him howl. We of course just had to buy it! Jordan says that this is Reagan's brother, Tyote, who lives near Reagan at Four Corners. His home is a "grey lair," says Jordan. Tyote also works at the Rattlesnake and Jackrabbit restaurant but is a waiter.
We wished we could have stayed longer in Missouri but the forecast didn't look very good for traveling so we went ahead and came home on Saturday. Lucky we did because it has snowed all day Sunday and it was cold. This is only what we had first thing this morning. Mark and Leah are off at a concert and I have laundry to fold so I guess that's it for today.
