How in the name of heaven do you explain this latest reading fascination? Jordan who still doesn't read every word in a sentence (likes to skip any word with less than 4 letters), can't answer comprehension questions above a third grade level, is sitting in his room trying to read The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. Unless you have a degree in the stuff, most people don't understand Shakespeare anyway. Oh well, at the moment, I am happy with anything that will keep him pre-occupied. He is having a rough week (and so am I).
(Updated Thursday evening-Mark figured it out, Shakespeare is written as a script. Jordan loves reading movie scripts. It tells what the scenery is, what the characters are doing, etc.)
Other than Jordan's behaviors life is at a fairly dull roar around here. We have some special things planned for Easter weekend. Mark is taking Friday off so that will be nice.
Leah is working on her schoolwork and trying to give Mommy a break when she can. It's really neat to see that she is developing a heart of compassion and a sensitivity to the needs of others. I sometimes feel bad that life has not been "normal" for her, but on the other hand, some gifts are only developed through adversity.
Back to the grindstone...if it takes till bedtime we need to get our schoolwork finished.
